Description and application:
Flux cored wire type KB4142, this is a kind of basic medium alloy flux-cored arc welding wire recommended for highly wear resistant surfacing.
The deposit is tough, free of cracks and porosity and therefore is highly resistant to deformation and impact. If the user requested the cladding welding on the base material with low weld-ability. As the manufacturer, we recommended depositing a buffer layer with flux cored wire KB8253 only. You will get the high quality surfacing and high hardness of welding bead.
Note: The preheat and inter-pass temperature must be at least 200.
Weld deposit can be machined only by grinding.
Suitable for surfacing parts of:
Mixer blades and vessels, grab and bucket teeth, crusher hammers and jaws etc.
Hardness of overlay cladding welding: 60 - 65HRC;
The hardness of the deposit depending on the relevant welding conditions and the chemical composition of the base metal.
